An internationally renowned composer of chorus, chamber and orchestral works for over 30 years, James Grant wanted an identity system that reflected how he experiences music. Something with flow and motion, on a continuum, that implied rather than defined his work. He wanted to stay away from predictable imagery related to music.


Ddesign developed a stationery system for the digital and print worlds with the use of typographic elements, illustration and subtle colour shifts: 4-colour printing for the business card, in-house printing of the letterhead and envelope as needed, digital header, footer and email signature for cyber-presence.
